Noguchi Postcards

Well, I thought this was interesting. To many people it was a tooth but he/she took it to a new level and got me to really take another look at the picture. I thought that it was another take on to something that everyone would commonly say. I really liked it.

Sneak Peak #3

"I don't really know about art. But I know but I know art can represent something as what we feel or who we are. Our memories of something can always make some unable understanding pictures of our own art."

This is the postcard that I chose. The postcard touched me because it showed that I have similar feelings to a stranger. It gives me comfort knowing there are people in the world that think like me.

Sneak peek #2

The postcard reads: "The picture shows us that ... art contains many information. It seems to tell us its past, and have a curious feeling into my heart." - Anonymous, Newcomers High School

We received a huge variety of responses to our project--some were just plain silly, while others were sentimental or poetic, almost. I chose this one in particular because it's short and sweet, without sacrificing depth of meaning.

I loved watching my fellow TAB members pick out their favorites, look forward to seeing them posted here soon!

Very First Sneak Peek

This is the first of many sneak peeks of the Insight publication (TBA) It is my favortive of the responses we have read so far.

Photobucket

This response reads "It reveals how something so simple can be so complicated, while there are complicated masterpieces that are so simple. Also, it reminds me of my lonliness. How much I long to have someone simple, yet mature."
-Victor Diaz
-Sophmore at St. John's Preparatory School

I loved reading different ways people responded to the postcard. There was a great variety in the answers, and that's what makes it so interesting.
